   The municipality is located at the Alt Camp NW. It is formed by small nucleus: Querol, which headlines the term, Esblada, Bonany and Valldossera, amongst different traditional farmhouses and the urbanizations of Mas Vermell, Mas Gassons, Ranxos de Bonany, can Llenas and Arboçar.

   The term is very mountainous and rough. The Puig of Formigosa is the highest point with 995 metres. Another important peak is Montagut (964 m).

   The most important water course is the Gaià's one which comes from the Conca of Barberà and moves away from the municipality in direction to the Port d'Armentera, after passing through Querol. Also some effluents of the Foix are born in the zone between which it emphasizes Riera de Marmellar.

   QUEROL - The Querol's nucleus is the most western part of the term, where we shall find the castle even though it is a little by spoiled because of the historical events. In 1835, during a carlile war, the castle was destroyed. The church of Santa Maria's originary of the XII century, was expanded in later periods. The bell tower has a squared floor, with large windows and pyramidal roof.

   VALLDOSSERA - The Sanctuary appears researched since 1162. In 1869 the parrochial Montagut headquarters were moved to Valldossera. During the Civil War, the church suffered some notable damages. It has a rectangular floor with flat apse and it is covered of tile. The façane presents a symmetrical composition, with a main door of arc and a wall bell tower. This sanctuary gives the name to the East zone of the municipality.
