Figuerola is located at the midday side of the Miramar mountain range, next to the Tossal Gros. Its term includes the Miramar nucleus. Many farmers have taken advantage of the term unevenness, starting from the terraces that come down until the Alt Camp plain. The hazels, together with the cereals and the vine, are the more important crops. The lands without farming are full of forests and thickets. The village of Figuerola is at 480 metres high, and dominates all the Alt Camp plain from its privileged location. The village took form around the Sant Jaume church. The small streets save the unevenness and sometimes offer an open landscape to the region. It is possible to find fountains on the streets: Font del Portal, Font del Viudet, etc. The houses have a simple architecture and have preserved the forms of the popular architecture of the zone. The buildings of the XVIII century predominate as it was a period of important stimulus for the village. MONUMENTS AND PLACES OF INTEREST
