The village is located in the long and wavy valley of Gaiā. The vine and the cherry tree plantations cover its lands and give shape and colour to the landscape. Since 1930 the Trade Farming Union of Brāfim picks up the production of vines for the wine elaboration. The dry lands are also farmed with olive and almond trees; the irrigated lands with vegetable gardens, hazels and fruit trees. The Brāfim area is abounding in water. The village forms a house grouping, with uneven and small streets, surrounding the Sant Jaume's church. This historical nucleus has kept on growing and configuration different avenues projected to the country field. Nowadays, also the industrial sector has future in Brāfim, with the settle of many enterprises and the construction of the industrial area Brāfim-Aliķ, with 141.000 m2 of industrial ground. Next to the village, the Sanctuary of Mare de Déu de Loreto stands out upon the mountain of Puig-Rodķ, and contributes to take part of the attractive silhouette of Brāfim. The different cultural and sport companies, the equipments and services of the village, prove its boost and life quality. MONUMENTS AND PLACES OF INTERESTMARE DE DÉU DEL LORETO SANCTUARY - While we move closer to the village, the silhouette of this hermitage begins to get painted upon the houses. Its privileged position will keep us from getting lost as it indicate us the way all the time. It is located on the Puig-rodķ mountain, close to the Gaiā river, in a zone with fountains and surrounded of pines. In 1664 this sanctuary was built to take in the Mare de Déu image. This fact carried to the arrival of an Odena's chaplain, father Pere.
The sanctuary is of great dimensions surrounded by fountains, forest zones and shades. All these elements allow us to have a pleas and walk and enjoy the view of the sweet sighting plain of the Gaia's river. Every year it takes place an open-air festivity to celebrate a religious event on the first Sunday of June, called the Aplec de Primavera. THE SANT JAUME PARROCHIAL CHURCH - In this church of a late Gothic style (almost baroque of the XVII century) we shall see a wonderful baroque altarpiece and a barrel organ, dated around 1792, a work of the royal organist Josep Cases from Reus, author as well of the organ from the Escorial and the Sevilla's Cathedral. The church preserves a baroque multichromed altarpiece that contributes to complete the interest of this building. RESTAURANTS
